Enjoy visiting sections of Old Munnar, which includes the charming old Christ Church with its original fourteen rows of wooden pews. You will also visit Mattupetty lake which is flanked by steep hills and woods and has been created by the small hydro-electricity dam there. The afternoon is at leisure to absorb the beauty of this beautiful hill station. (B) or enjoy a boat ride (on direct payment basis) on the Naini lake. (B)

After a relaxed morning drive from the land of tea plantations into the heart of the spice hills in Thekkady. The rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy a walk through the bustling spice market of Kumily village in Thekkady. (B)

Today, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Periyar which is the best way to locate wildlife in Periyar Sanctuary (boats can be hired directly). The park has herds of elephants, deers, wild dogs, barking deer, sambhar, gaurs and wild boars. In the afternoon take a picturesque drive to Kumarakom located on the idyllic backwaters where you check into your hotel on arrival. Later in the day enjoy a backwater cruise, (boats can be hired on direct payment basis) lazing in a small country boat as it meanders through the tranquil network of water canals, dotted with busy hamlets, lush green paddy fields.(B)
