| Day 01:
SOLAPUR - BIJAPUR |

On arrival
in Solapur immediate departure
for Bijapur (99 kms). On arrival
check into the hotel. After
breakfast rest of the day to
explore Bijapur. Overnight stay
Bijapur.
Bijapur - it was the capital
of the Adil Shah Kings who left
a wealth of monuments. After
lunch visit the Gol Gumbaz whose
dome is the second largest in
the world. An acoustical phenomenon
has resulted in a whisper into
the dome on one side being magnified
12 times on the other side of
the dome. Other buildings to
see are Ibrahim Rauza, Gagan
Mahal, Bara Kaman etc.

After breakfast
we visit some of the important
monument for study purpose.
After lunch check out &
proceed for Badami (132 kms).
Dinner & overnight stay
at Badami.

After breakfast
we explore Badami -
Badami- also known as Vatapi,
rich with Hindu and Jain temples
carved out of sand stone hills.
The carved temples date back
to the 6th century AD. Of these
3 are Hindu and 1 is Jain. Sculptured
out of solid rock those are
adorned with carvings. The Fort
atop a hill encloses large granaries,
treasury & a watch tower.
The famed Malegitti Shivalaya
temple set on the summit of
a hill is built of stones joined
without mortar. Dinner &
overnight stay at Badami.

| Day 04:

Whole day
excursion tour to Pattadakal
& Aihole - Sentinels of
Hindu temple architecture. For
the first half day, excursion
to Pattadakal (29 kms) - referred
to as Perigal, reached its pinnacle
of glory under the Chalukya
Kings from 7th to 9th centuries.
The oldest in this group is
the Sanghameswara Temple. The
Mallikarjuna Temple has pillars
depicting life of Krishna. Virupaksha
temple has sculptures and panel
scenes from the epics, the Ramayana
and Mahabharata. The Papanatha
Temple has impressive carvings
on pillars and ceiling. For
the second half we visit Aihole
(22 kms) - A small serene village
where Hindu temple architecture
in its embryonic stage from
the earliest Ladkhan Temple
to the later and more complex
structures like Kunligudi and
Durgigudi is displayed. The
Durgigudi is particularly interesting
and probably unique in India.
There are over 70 structures,
most in a good state of preservation
in and around this village.
Evening return back to Hotel
Badami (44 kms) for overnight
stay at Badami.

| Day 05:
HAMPI / HOSPET |

After an
early breakfats departure for
Hospet (167 kms). Arrival and
check into the hotel. After
lunch visit Hampi. Once beautiful
capital city of Vijayanagar
Empire , holds many a delightful
surprises. The most famous is
the King's Balance where Kings
were weighed against gold or
money which used to be distributed
to the poor. The city was razed
to the ground by the Sultanates
of South in 1565. Some of the
interesting ruins remaining
are Virupaksha Temple, Vijay
Vittala and Hazara Rama temples,
huge monolithic Ganesha and
Narasimha images, the elephant
stables, the Queen's bath, carvings
on the Ramchandra temple, Lotus
Mahal & Pushkarni In the
evening return back to hotel.

proceed for Chitradurga (151
Km) on arrival check into the
Hotel Overnight stay at Chitradurga.

Whole day to
explore Ankali Math The ancient
monastery of Ankali Math is
also called Paradeshappana Guhe,
Chandravalli is an ancient archeological
site and coins, inscriptions,
ruins, Kallina Kote The imposing
fort in Chitradurga is known
as the Kallina Kote or the Palace
of Stone. Overnight stay at
Chitradurga.

| Angadi Historians
have identified Angadi as Sasakapura
or Sosevur, the original home
of Hoyasalas who held sway in
vast swathes of South India. The
shrine here has pillars of granite
with cylindrical shafts and hemi
spherical mouldings. Belavadi
the pilgrimage of Belavadi is
dotted with a number of ancient
temples and shrines. Coffee Plantations,
Sringeri & Hornadu Temple.
