Day 01: Kolkata
Early morning arrival & check into the hotel in Kolkata, Formerly know as Calcutta, Kolkata served as the capital of India during the British Raj until 1912. Since the year 2001, economic rejuvenation has spurred on the city's growth with extensive urbanization, commercialization and job creation.
After freshen up, we visit two monuments & drive past many land marks of this cultural capital of India. Our first halt will be at Victoria Memorial, built between 1906 and 1921 in the memory of Queen Victoria. The building has galleries with paintings, portraits of eminent personalities, documents witnessing the city's history during the British period. The second halt will be at St. Paul's Cathedral, built in 1847 by Bishop Wilson, this was the first Episcopal Cathedral Church in the eastern world. The Indo-Gothic style structure was severely damaged in earthquakes and was redesigned and rebuilt in 1938 replicating Bell Harry Tower of Canterbury Cathedral. The church is 201 feet high. This evening some free time to explore New Market of Kolkata. Post dinner we board the train for NJP. O/N train journey.
Day 02: NJP – Pelling
On arrival in NJP, immediately Transfer by road to Pelling, The place is the closet motorable view point for Mount Kanchenjunga- the third highest roof of the world. Proceed to your hotel. On arrival check into the hotel. This evening enjoy leisurely walking tour of Pelling. O/N Pelling.
Day 03: Pelling  
Today we cover the three famous landmarks - Rabdantse, Sangacholing & Pemayangtse. First you head for the Rabantse Palace- once the second capital of Sikkim is now a historical monument. Further walk will reach you to Sangacholing Monastery- second oldest in Sikkim. The Pemayangtse Monastery belongs to the Nyingma-pa order of Tibetan Buddhism. It was built as a small temple in late 17th century by Latsum Chenpo. On the top floor there is a wooden sculpture portraying the Mahaguru’s Heavenly palace Sangthokpalri. Overnight stay in Pelling.
Day 04: Pelling - Gangtok  
Rise and shine at early hours & leave for Gangtok – Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, is often referred to as the “Lofty Hill”. An air of enchantment pervades in the entire atmosphere of the valley with its stupas, monasteries and its mysticism. Post lunch we take a city tour of Gangtok. The first point is Rumtek Monastery 24 kms from Gangtok, the World Dharma Chakra Center, on the highway is Nehru Botanical Garden – a mixture of well-tended tropical and temperate plants. Also cover the Orchid Sanctuary which houses approximately 454 varieties of orchids. O/N Gangtok.
Day 05: Gangtok  
This is a day excursion to Tshangu Lake (departure in the morning)- situated at a height of 12,000 ft with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. A small temple is constructed on the lake side and primulace flowers & Alpine vegetation grow around the lake. Post lunch we leave for Darjeeling. Known as the “Queen of Hill Stations”, Darjeeling is a place of enigmatic natural beauty. O/N Gangtok.
Day 05: Gangtok
Early morning around 04:00 am leave hotel for the famous Tiger Hills to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak and other Eastern Himalayan Peaks (subject to clear weather). Have breakfast at the hotel after returning. Later, take the famous Toy-Train ride till Batasia Loop (subject to operational conditions), and then walk upto Ghoom Monastery. It enshrines a 10 ft. high image of Maitreya Buddha (the Coming Buddha). Later proceed to hotel. After freshen up we visit Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park which exhibits some rare collection of Himalayan Fauna, including the Snow Leopard. From here, move towards Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the premier School of Mountaineering in the world. Post lunch free time to explore mall road of Darjeeling. Later proceed to NJP for your journey to home town / onward destination.
