This morning, enjoy a city tour of Gangtok visiting Do-drul Chorten that has a gold-topped stupa with 108 prayer wheels. Also visit the Institute of Tibetology & Institute of Handicrafts and Handlooms (Closed on Sunday). In the afternoon proceedtowards Kalimpong. Check into your hotel on arrival. The evening is free for shopping in the local market. (B)

Very early this morning (around 4 am) drive to Tiger Hill to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Eastern Himalayan peaks with fabulous views of Mt. Kanchendzonga (28,208 ft) (subject to clear weather conditions). Visit the Ghoom Monastery on your return. Later in the day visit the Padmaja Naidu Zoological garden and the Tibetan refugee self - help center (Closed on Sunday); Batasia Loop, an engineering marvel and feat where the railway line negotiates a circle and descends 1,000 ft in altitude. The train's figure 8's and Z maneuvers is a picturesque sight. From here one gets a grand view of the town of Darjeeling perched on the slopes of hills with Mt. Kanchenjunga in the background. Finally visit The War Memorial, built in the memory of the brave sons of Darjeeling who laid their life for the country. The evening is free to relax in your hotel or for shopping (on your own) on mall road. (B)
